ALOM CEO Hannah Kain Receives YWCA Tribute to Women Award

February 11, 2015

Hannah Kain, President and CEO of ALOM, a global leader in supply chain management, has been named a recipient of the esteemed YWCA Tribute to Women Award. This honor was announced last night at a reception held at the YWCA Silicon Valley headquarters in San Jose, CA.  The Tribute to Women Award program is a time-honored event that recognizes top-level Silicon Valley female executives from a variety of industries since 1986.  The Awards Dinner will take place May 12, 2015 at The Fairmont San Jose.

“The YWCA is pleased to recognize Hannah Kain for her business leadership as well as her continued support and personal involvement providing critical programs and services that help women, children and families in our region,” said Tanis Crosby, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA Silicon Valley. The YWCA helps change the destiny of women, children and families, offering hope for self improvement and resources to make success a reality.

“I am honored to be in the company of the extremely impressive women being recognized with this award.  I am equally humbled to be recognized by such a vital organization that empowers women to overcome obstacles and receive access to resources that improve their lives and futures,” Kain said.

The YWCA Tribute to Women Award is bestowed to executive women leaders who exemplify excellence in achievement and service.  The award recognizes companies that encourage and support the continued success of these women, and acknowledges them for partnering with the YWCA to provide critical programs and services.

In addition to being named a Silicon Valley Woman of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal, Kain has received numerous leadership awards including the 2014 NAWBO-Silicon Valley Women Business Advocate Eclipse Award. She was named a 2012 Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Star by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and received the 2011 Watermark Women Who Have Made Their Mark Award.

Kain serves as a Board member of WBENC, the National Association of Manufacturers, and Watermark. She is former Chair of the Silicon Valley Board for the Women’s Initiative. She is a member of the exclusive invitation-only Committee of 200 (C200) for executive women.
