ALOM Return Management, also known as ARM, simplifies the returns process for retailers and manufacturers. Integrated with our MegaShipper and ERP systems, we offer superior and seamless automated returns processing that encompasses pre-printed shipping labels, repair and refurbishment, replacement, recycling and disposition/disposal. Additional services include call center customer support and product serialization/end-user registration for rapid recall response or after-sales marketing.
Reconfiguration / Repair
Sometimes the most effective way to place a returned product back into the sales channel is through reconfiguration or repair. Recalls, product changes and return of leased or loaned equipment can make repairs a commercially optimum alternative to extend the value of an asset. Rework may increase our customers’ profitability in the long term by reusing individual components or reinstalling updated software. Electronics rework is done professionally in an ESD environment, according to individually-defined specifications.
We make the return disposition of products easy. We allow our customers to set the parameters for return processing by selecting auto-disposition upon receipt, depending on condition, or we handle each return individually. Following inspection and classification of a returned item, the most value-driven course may be disposal. Disposal does not simply mean the item becomes landfill. Supply chain sustainability and environmental management are core ALOM values. We handle sorting and removal of recyclable or resalable components and materials, often directing any proceeds to the support of customer charitable organizations. All recycling and material disposal is done in full compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations.
Serialization / Recall Management
Through serialization technology, we have controls in place to track and trace material location to effectively manage the chain of custody. Tracking material custody is essential across many industries to maintain consumer safety and product support programs.
For software and electronic devices, we provide license key management to protect data. If a recall situation occurs, we can quickly identify the location of affected products and have them removed from inventory. Also, we can communicate with end-users for selected product programs based on product registration and serial number data to expedite return and replacement.
