ALOM Opens Amsterdam Office to Expand Presence in Europe

ALOM, a global leader in supply chain management, has announced the opening of its European headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. ALOM has been doing business in Europe and servicing European customers since 2006. With this move ALOM is deepening its commitment to serving a growing number of customers and suppliers throughout the region with sophisticated supply chain services, including procurement, inventory, fulfillment, production and marketing support services, and logistics management capacity.

The Amsterdam facility represents ALOM’s 19th global location and is part of the company’s multi-year expansion that includes a state-of-the-art 120,000 square foot addition to its US global headquarters in Fremont, CA, now totaling 270,000 square feet, and its 48,000 square foot Indianapolis, IN, plant opened in September, 2017.

“Our expanded European presence in Amsterdam benefits our customers by creating technology-driven efficiencies for delivery to suppliers and end-users across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, improving service and quality, and reducing costs,” ALOM President and CEO Hannah Kain said. “By enhancing our presence in Europe, we are increasing our reach while minimizing environmental impact. We are also optimizing the customer service by near-sourcing and positioning inventory in close proximity to the markets our customers serve.”

Amsterdam’s strategic location supports ALOM customers in the region through access to one of the world’s largest and busiest container ports and proximity to highly efficient air, rail, trucking, and ecommerce infrastructure.

The presence in Amsterdam adds to ALOM’s two European-based production and fulfillment centers in Germany and Ireland which have been supporting ALOM operations since 2006 and 2009 respectively.

The office will officially open on July 24, 2018. ALOM Technologies B.V. will be located at Schiphol Boulevard 359, 1118 BJ Amsterdam Schiphol, the Netherlands.
