Our Policy Our policy is to safeguard and protect any data entrusted to us and to be in compliance with the Safe Harbor Principles. Data Collection and Usage
ALOM may record and collect information about how visitors use its sites. This data may include a visitor's domain name, type of browser and operating system, Internet Service Provider (ISP), Internet protocol (IP) address, language, the website from which they arrived, the amount of time spent and the ways in which they use the system. We will monitor and use this data in aggregated form to measure the activity, and improve design and functionality. We may also disclose aggregate usage data to other visitors. Opt-out/Discontinue Receiving Information If you want to discontinue receiving information from us or any of our customers (opt-out), or if you want to make changes to your information, please e-mail customerservice@alom.com or send a letter to Office of the CEO, ALOM, 48105 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539, indicating the name and address to be discontinued. Please include information about the last mailing/contact received, including the approximate date and a brief description of the mail piece/contact such that we can attribute it to the appropriate customer. There is no charge to opt out. Violation of Policy If you find that this privacy policy has been violated, we want to address this immediately. Please direct your concerns to customerservice@alom.com or send a letter to Office of the CEO, ALOM, 48105 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539. We are committed to addressing your concern within four weeks after we receive your complaint. If you feel that your complaint has not been addressed completely, we invite you to let us know and we will investigate further. However, should we be unable to reach an agreement to resolve the dispute, we offer the option of independent arbitration through the American Arbitration Association. Please contact us for more information about this option. The same chain of complaint resolution is available for possible unfair or deceptive practices and violations of laws or regulations governing privacy. ALOM may provide links to third parties' websites. The sites are not necessarily reviewed, controlled or endorsed by ALOM in any way and ALOM is not responsible for their privacy policies and practices, or for any additional links contained on those sites. Transfer of Information and Disclosure for Legal Reasons In the event of a sale, merger, consolidation, reorganization, liquidation, dissolution, change of control or sale or transfer of the substantial assets of ALOM information collected or stored may be sold, assigned or transferred to a party acquiring all or substantially all of the equity and/or assets of ALOM, provided that the acquiring company complies to the rules set forth in the privacy policy. Data that has been collected as part of the fulfillment and mailing activities of ALOM remains the property of the respective customer, and will not be sold, assigned or transferred except with the explicit approval of the customer. ALOM may make information available to law enforcement personnel and agencies as required by law or in order to enforce the terms of use of any of its sites, and may disclose such information if required by law or a judicial or governmental order or subpoena. Where permitted by law, ALOM may also disclose such information to law enforcement personnel and agencies, or use such information as part of legal process, in order to protect its property or in furtherance of an investigation regarding any unauthorized access to or use of ALOM systems, Extranets, websites or other systems, or any illegal activities concerning a particular visitor. Effective Date and Updates This privacy policy is effective August 19, 2003, with revisions on December 5, 2005, and has been communicated to all relevant ALOM employees, contractors and vendors. The importance of adhering to the policy has been made clear to all relevant employees. ALOM may, in its sole discretion, update this policy at any time by posting the amended policy at this web address. The revised or amended policy shall be effective upon posting. Visitors and customers are therefore encouraged to refer to this page regularly. |
