ALOM CEO Named to WBENC Board of Directors

February 4, 2015

Hannah Kain, President and CEO of ALOM, a global leader in supply chain management, was named to the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) Board of Directors. Her term began last month and extends for three years.

The election recognizes Kain’s active commitment to WBENC as a WBENC-Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) and a member of the Women’s Enterprise Forum, which serves in an advisory capacity to the WBENC Board, providing input and feedback on WBENC programs and other matters.

“We at the WBENC Forum were delighted to propose Hannah Kain who is dedicated to the growth of our organization and other WBEs,” said Forum Chair and Arbill CEO Julie Copeland.

“I am honored to serve on the WBENC Board and represent the over 12,000 WBEs that WBENC helps propel to success,” Kain said. “As corporations increasingly are determined to diversify their supply chain, WBENC adds tremendous value in connecting corporations and Women’s Business Enterprises. I look forward to working with my fellow board and WBENC members to facilitate the growth of our constituents.”

For over 10 years Kain has actively mentored and collaborated with other women business owners and entrepreneurs on ways to expand and elevate their businesses. She is an active participant in her Regional Partner Organization, the Astra Women’s Business Alliance, for whom she has sponsored and spoken at various events. “Hannah is an energetic force within Astra Women’s Business Alliance, encouraging other women’s businesses to show up and get connected at both the regional and national levels,” said Diane McClelland, Astra President and Co-Founder.

Kain was a 2012 WBENC WBE Star representing Astra. She won the 2011 Member Leadership Award for Collaboration from Vistage International, the world’s leading CEO peer advisory membership organization. Kain was also recognized as a Silicon Valley Woman of Influence by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.

Kain is a Board member of the National Association of Manufacturers, on the Advisory Council of the Global Supply Chain Leaders Group, former Chair of the Silicon Valley Board for the Women’s Initiative, and a Board member of Watermark. She is a member of the exclusive invitation-only Committee of 200 (C200) for executive women.
