Intrepid, innovative leaders solve supply chain challenges while steering toward a socially responsible future

ALOM, the global supply chain management leader, is being recognized for its extraordinary industry talent as three key executives are honored as 2022 Supply Chain Pros to Know by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. Announced by SDCE at Modex 2022 in Atlanta, President and CEO Hannah Kain, Vice President Supply Chain Strategy Lisa Dolan, and Director of Operations Eunice Lobo were named to this year’s prestigious roster of top industry pros – the eighth time for Kain, the seventh for Dolan, and the first for Lobo.

SDCE annually recognizes outstanding executives and practitioners whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage their supply chain for competitive advantage and prepare for the challenges of today and tomorrow.

“Overcoming the challenges impacting global supply chains in 2021 – labor and component shortages, as well as strained freight and storage capacity – required industry practitioners to rechart a new course to success,” Kain says. “I built ALOM with the belief that the supply chain solution provider with the best talent and technology will win. This strategy has propelled ALOM to the forefront of supply chain performance excellence for our clients.”

Kain adds: “Thanks to Lisa Dolan’s and Eunice Lobo’s strategic, results-oriented leadership, our operational teams routinely mitigate temporary challenges while improving overall performance. We at ALOM are incredibly proud of the commitment they inspire daily among all our dedicated employees.”

Since founding ALOM 25 years ago, Kain has emerged as a respected industry strategist, thought leader, human rights and environmental advocate, and highly-engaged executive. In 2021, she led ALOM to a year of notable accomplishment – growing its staff by 73% and increasing operational capacity by 47.2%. Most fulfilling was the company’s production and distribution of 22.8 million COVID-19 test kits.

Furthering its commitment towards Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), in 2021 ALOM announced its NetZero Supply Chain Sustainability Initiative to achieve a net zero carbon footprint across its operations by 2030. The company made progress toward this goal by securing 100% renewably generated electric power for all of ALOM’s U.S. facilities.

Eunice Lobo plays a vital role in forging actionable, real-time operational solutions that achieve production volume, on-time shipping, and quality goals. She has introduced and driven key initiatives to enhance capacity, quality assurance, data management, sustainability, and staff training/retention.

For example, Lobo anticipated the need for adding operational capacity to meet client program growth forecasts and was an instrumental contributor in selecting an ideal location for the company to expand in a tight real estate market. On February 18, 2022, under Lobo’s leadership, ALOM cut the ribbon to officially open its newest 90,000 square-foot production and fulfillment facility – just 80 days after receiving the keys.

As an advocate for workplace safety, diversity and inclusion, Lobo has deepened ALOM’s culture of employee safety, empowerment, and engagement. In February 2022, ALOM was presented the Excellence in Workplace Safety award by representatives of Heffernan Insurance Brokers for reaching the top Workers Compensation safety tier in the supply chain/manufacturing industry. In designing improvements in promotion, supervisory, mentoring and training processes, along with COVID-19 workplace protective measures, she helped attract and retain new staff, allowing the company to fully meet increasing client order volumes – a notable achievement due to the highly competitive labor market.

Lisa Dolan is a talented supply chain and technology strategist. A 2019 SDCE Supply Chain Pro to Know of The Year, she specializes in developing innovative, technology-driven solutions that solve highly complex supply chain challenges across the automotive, technology, government, and life sciences industries. Firmly believing that collaboration results in the best outcomes, Dolan deftly brings together expert teams of technology, operational, supplier, and client program stakeholders to chart “can’t-fail” product and service delivery solutions unique to each customer. As a visionary in championing supplier diversity as a competitive differentiator, Dolan helped ALOM achieve exceptional 28.6% diversity spend in 2021.

Dolan currently serves on the board of Women in Manufacturing Bay Area and is a past chair of the CSCMP Silicon Valley/San Francisco Roundtable. All three honorees are believers in giving back to the supply chain community through speeches, sharing innovation and insights.

“This year’s winners are reinventing what it means to be a supply chain professional,” says Marina Mayer, Editor-in-Chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive and Food Logistics. “These winners are intuitive, adaptive and so super smart, and continue to push the envelope when it comes to everything supply chain-related.”
