ALOM VP Receives YWCA Women’s Award

May 12, 2016

Lisa Dolan, Vice President of Supply Chain Strategy at ALOM, a global leader in supply chain management, was bestowed the YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women Award last night at the 32nd Annual Tribute to Women Awards Dinner at the Fairmont San Jose. The time-honored event recognizes exceptional professional and community-based achievement by Silicon Valley female executives from a variety of industries.

“The YWCA Silicon Valley is pleased to recognize Lisa Dolan for her exceptional business leadership and STEM education advocacy as well as her support for our interconnected programs to help women and our communities thrive,” said Tanis Crosby, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA Silicon Valley.

The YWCA Tribute to Women Award honors executive women leaders who exemplify and reflect innovation, creativity and excellence that Silicon Valley is known for. The award recognizes companies that encourage and support the continued success of these women, and acknowledges them for partnering with the YWCA to provide critical programs and services.

“I am honored to be recognized by such a vital organization enabling women to overcome obstacles and improve their lives,” Dolan said. “This award inspires me to further ensure that the vital resources in our area – and the opportunities they avail – are provided to women and girls who need and deserve them.”

As an experienced software programmer and supply chain executive serving Fortune 100 corporate clients, Dolan has been an inspirational speaker and mentor to executive and entrepreneurial women overcoming gender-based stereotypes in technology and manufacturing.

Dolan has a long and distinguished record actively serving women’s and diversity organizations such as the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC), and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)-Silicon Valley.

Dolan is also a sought-after speaker at industry and community events where she is an advocate and supporter of STEM educational opportunities and programs for girls and women. She is past president of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) San Francisco Roundtable which offers college scholarships to study supply chain management. As a Girl Scout Leader, Dolan led focused activities around STEM subjects and conducted activities at the NASA AMES Research Center in Silicon Valley, as part of the Sally Ride Program.

“We are extremely proud that Lisa Dolan has been honored with the YWCA Silicon Valley Tribute to Women Award,” said Hannah Kain, President and CEO of ALOM, who nominated Lisa and won the Award in 2015. “Lisa is an exceptional technology and supply chain industry leader whose inspiring accomplishments and dedication to continuous learning serve to motivate women of all ages to think big and take on new challenges.”
