To accommodate unpredictable market demand and irregular deliveries from a Caribbean-based manufacturing partner, a global pharmaceutical company needed an exceptionally agile and scalable supply chain provider. They sought a partner with trusted expertise in regulated medical supply chains and a commitment to enabling growth.
“We found a supply chain partner that was nimble enough to ramp up quickly and flexible enough to scale so we could meet peak demand. For our customers, there’s only a small window to service and deliver,”

In under a month, ALOM retooled its operations to deliver a customized supply chain program supporting the company’s procurement, inventory, production, kitting, fulfillment, and distribution of its FDA-authorized COVID-19 at-home test kit. Following the program’s success, ALOM expanded its scope to support additional prescription-only COVID-19 diagnostic products used in clinical settings.
The company selected ALOM early in the pandemic to leverage its 20+ years of experience in medical industry compliance and its proven ability to meet erratic, pandemic-driven demand.
Previously, the company relied on its manufacturer for assembly, kitting, and fulfillment. However, sourcing delays and performance gaps led to severe supply chain bottlenecks—at a time when speed and reliability were critical.
With multiple FDA-registered facilities across North America, ALOM provided the operational infrastructure and flexibility needed to overcome these manufacturing challenges. Upon receiving critical materials, ALOM quickly scaled operations to meet tight delivery timelines, helping the company expand its market share.
ALOM’s ISO 13485-certified quality systems ensured every kit met the highest regulatory and safety standards, even amid fluctuating volumes and rapid production cycles.
With COVID-19 test kits requiring 12- to 18-month shelf life management, ALOM implemented meticulous lot tracking, expiration management, and temperature-controlled storage. Serialization and real-time monitoring supported first-expired, first-out (FEFO) inventory control.
ALOM’s business intelligence platform provided real-time visibility into performance metrics through a secure client dashboard, enabling proactive decision-making and traceability at every step of the process.
Each individual test kit generated large volumes of traceable data, particularly during distribution to end users across consumer, healthcare, and public sector channels.
“Every functional group within our organization has relied on data from ALOM’s system. Real-time access has been absolutely critical—it keeps our business moving,”
— Director of Global Supply Chain and Fulfillment, Global Pharmaceutical Company
To protect consumer health data, ALOM maintains strict privacy protocols built on HIPAA compliance and SOC 2-certified data handling processes. These safeguards ensure consumer trust and regulatory adherence for both U.S. and Canadian markets.
